8 financial vices that suck money
Something sweet to coffee, with a friend to the cinema and a new pair of shoes.
1. Remaining expenditure
We like to spoil ourselves with such small things, but if we give money for them without thinking and too often, they can put a heavy burden on the budget . Try tracking your remaining expenses for a month and you may be surprised.
2. High limit on card
On Monday you will pay CZK 3,000 at the service station, on Tuesday, CZK 1,000 for a gift for mother-in-law, and so it goes on all week and month. Then, if your account statement is negative, don’t be surprised. Money from the card is easier to spend, and you quickly lose track. Set the weekly limit on the card and cancel the overdraft .
3. Sales and discounts
The new set of plates was so cheap that you just had to buy it! They didn’t have to. This is all the more so when your plates no longer fit in your cupboard. Sales and discounts often entice us to buy things that we don’t really need, but we don’t want. Therefore, think carefully about each purchase.
4. Credit card abuse
If the money disappears quickly from the debit card , the credit is even worse. The money spent is not ours, but the banks or other companies. If you guard the limit and grace period , you have nothing to worry about. Worse, a shopping spree grabs you and nothing stops you.
5. Emotional purchases
The worst are in combination with a credit card without a set limit. You also know it – the boss gets annoyed at work, so you go calm by buying new clothes. And you need a handbag for them. And shoes…
6. Negative approach
The low salary, you can complain or try to apply for inclusion. If you do not have enough money at the end of the month, you can either talk to your friends over a beer, or you won’t go to the pub and try to figure out where you could save money. Try to be positive and you will see that you will certainly find a solution to your financial situation . If not, contact a trusted financial advisor .
7. Loans without thought
Before each loan, calculate the amount of the monthly payment is ideal for you, think of the reserves and familiarize yourself with the conditions. Irresponsible lending is a bad habit that can complicate your life for a long time.
8. Late repayment of accounts
Telephone and energy bills, installments, insurance . All of these (and many other) accounts need to be repaid on time, otherwise they may become more expensive as a result of sanctions. You can get rid of this bad habit by paying your bills immediately after payout or by setting a due date as a reminder to your phone.
